The Most Important Step is the One You Can't Skip
Why professional cleaning is the difference between a stain that lasts 6 months and one that lasts 3 years. Why We Don't Just "Spray and Pray"
If your deck looks grey, it isn't just dirty—it's damaged by UV radiation. That grey layer consists of dead wood fibers that have detached from the board. If you apply stain directly over this layer, the stain bonds to the dead fibers, not the solid wood underneath.
Within a few months, those fibers will flake off, taking your expensive stain with them.
The Weets Solution: We use specialized wood cleaners and brighteners to chemically lift dirt, mold, and dead fibers from the pores of the wood. This restores the wood's pH balance and creates a fresh, absorbent surface ready to lock in the new finish.
The Danger of High Pressure
Many inexperienced contractors (and homeowners) make the mistake of using too much pressure. Blasting wood with 3,000 PSI acts like a liquid sandblaster.
- The Damage: High pressure shreds the wood fibers, leaving a "fuzzy" texture that looks terrible and absorbs moisture like a sponge.
- Our Method: We rely on chemistry, not pressure. We use a low-pressure rinse (similar to a garden hose) to gently wash away the debris after our cleaners have done the hard work. This preserves the grain and smoothness of your lumber.

Strip & Clean
We apply a professional-grade cleaner to break down old sealers, kill algae, and loosen dead wood fibers.
Neutralize & Brighten
After cleaning, we apply a wood brightener. This neutralizes the cleaners and restores the wood to its original 'lumber yard' brightness.
The Moisture Check
We never rush. We allow the wood to dry completely (checking moisture levels with a meter) before applying any stain.
